Mandy Sapp

I was born in Humboldt Iowa and lived there for 5 years.  I was then relocated to Arizona and stayed here for another 5 years before being relocated again to a tiny little town in Oregon.  When I say tiny, I mean 300 people.  I lived there for the next 6 years until moving back to Arizona.  And Arizona is where I have stayed!

I have met my husband 15 years ago and we have been married for 15 years this January.  Yes, it was a very short period of time between meeting and marrying!  We have 3 children ages 8 (almost 9), 6 and 3.

One of my biggest passions is raising money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) to find a cure for Type I diabetes.  My 6 year old son's best friend was diagnosed with it at the age of 4, almost 2 years ago.  His mom happens to be my best friend so we have been raising money for Team Luke and the Jedi Knights.  Our next walk is 10/30/10 and we are actively looking for donors and sponsors for our t-shirts.  We had 65 walkers last year and anticipate 100+ this year.  Here is a picture from last year.  I also participate and raise funds for Komen's Race for a Cure, but to a lesser degree.
