S Lake

Page history last edited by Stephanie Lake 13 years, 6 months ago

My name is Stephanie Lake and I am 21 years old. I was born in Mesa, Arizona. I have lived in Gilbert my whole life in the same house. I come from a family of four, my mother, father, and older brother (by 3 1/2 years). I also have a dog who is a terrier/golden lab mix and is now 12 years old. I played softball for most of my life up until I was about fifteen years old. In addition to that I played a couple of years of basketball, played the clarinet in band, played the piano, and was in choir for many years.  I have always enjoyed going to school and learning and took part in things like the National Honor Society. In addition to that I loved going to football games and dances with friends.  I worked at Mervyns for two years during part of high school and college until they went bankrupt. I went to Chandler-Gilbert Community College for three years, two of which I spent persuing a degree in nursing, and the last one in which I switched to education after realizing that was the right profession for me. I graduated with my associates degree in elementary education in May. I am a junior at ASU and can't wait to graduate in 2012 with my dual major bachelor's degree in special education/elementary education. I am currently seeking employment and spend alot of time with friends and family, going to movies, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years. In addition to that I love being outdoors and doing things like camping in addition to working out, particularly taking zumba (cardio dance) classes. I became interested in special education during seventh grade when I became a part of a club on campus in which some students would help out and go on field trips with the special needs students. In addition to that I grew up with my mom running a daycare out of our home and have always loved working with kids.
